Cinematic Experiments
The eye behind every frame…
Mayim Studio is the creative practice of Mira Isabel Boriskin, named after her Hebrew name, Mayim Peninah, meaning water pearl.
Mira is a Boston-based interdisciplinary artist working across experimental cinema, music, photography, and poetry. Her synesthesia is the connective tissue of her practice, informing the sensory layering of her films, the textural ambition of her compositions, and the imagistic precision of her prose.
